Tours and Visits:

We welcome you to visit us prior to your cats stay.
This will allow you to feel comfortable with the
accommodations at Black Cat Boarding and also allows us to meet you.

It will also give you a chance to ask any questions
you may have and to fill out an information sheet on
your cat.  This makes the day you drop off your cat
easier.  The information sheet can also be mailed to
you prior, if you desire.
Please feel free to call or e-mail to set up an
appointment to visit.

Extended Stays
Black Cat Boarding's premium facility specialises in extended stays. Boasting the most spacious and comfortable accommodation inside and out, we are especially able to cater for long term stays. Owners are most welcome to bring their own climbing frames, scratch poles and comfort items to make your cats feel at home. Visits from relatives and friends are also welcome, and we will keep you updated with photos and messages via email.

Fleas :
No fleas admitted!
We require that all cats be free of fleas and other
parasites while staying with us.  We request that our
clients put flea control ( Advantage, Frontline) on their
cats approximately a week before they come to the Cattery.

Medical Emergencies
In the unlikely event that there is a medical emergency, our
main concern is for the cat.  We have our own Vet on call 24 hours a day.

An urgent veterinary treatment form is filled out prior to
boarding. This form will allow us to take your cat for
treatment.  You will be responsible for these charges.
We will attempt to contact you at the telephone
numbers you have provided.

Hygiene

A healthy & hygienic cattery is a Happy cattery!

Utmost care and attention is given to maintaining an immaculate standard of cleanliness at Black Cat Boarding and our clients and guests should expect no less.

We use a premium anti-bacterial and viricide disinfectant, in conjunction with strict hygiene practices and good ventilation. Litter trays are changed at least once daily, and are fully disinfected. Suites are cleaned & disinfected daily, with a Super clean and disinfection of suites between guests.

Most importantly, although there is a wealth of visual stimulation and interest provided for our guests, and an abundance of physical human contact and cuddling, for their own well-being there is no direct contact between cats unless they are from the same family.

Vaccinations

What level of vaccination is required for boarding?

Cats must have fully completed the F3 vaccination course as a minimum requirement . This vaccine covers "Feline Respiratory Disease/Cat Flu" and “Feline Enteritis”.

For the protection of all our guests, a current vaccination certificate must be provided for each cat before or on the day of check-in please as cats that are not current with their vaccinations cannot be accepted for boarding under any circumstances.

For your convenience, your cat's Vaccination History can be faxed to Black Cat on (03) 59770908, prior to check-in.
